The present invention relates to a surface treatment method for an orthodontic screw and to an orthodontic screw, which prevent the screw from fracturing during the implantation of the screw, and increase osseointegration between the implanted screw and alveolar bone. The screw of the present invention includes a head portion, as well as an implanting portion which extends from the head portion and which has a threaded outer surface. The surface treatment method for an orthodontic screw involves performing a masking process on the head portion using a masking material. The method comprises a surface treatment step of treating the surface of the implanting portion to increase the surface roughness thereof, and a removal step of removing the masking material. |
