A system and a method for realizing bidirectional platform authentication are provided, wherein the system includes a first platform C' used by first user A, a second platform C'' used by second user B and a platform authenticator S; the first user A and the second user B are network interconnection by a platform authentication protocol, the second user B and the platform authenticator S are network interconnection by a platform authentication protocol, the first user A and the platform authenticator S are network interconnection through the second user B; the first platform C' includes first platform authentication trusted root S', the second platform C'' includes second platform authentication trusted root S''. A method for realizing bidirectional platform authentication is also provided by the present invention. The problem of complexity of the platforms and the platform subassembly can be solved by the present invention, thus the application requirements of bidirectional platform authentication are satisfied; and the identification, authentication and evaluation of the platforms and the platform subassembly are realized uniformly by a platform authenticator, the amount of calculation and the traffic load of the user participating in platform authentication can be reduced, so the performance is improved and the application environments is expanded.
