<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize an ADF (auto document feeder) when securing a storage location of a manual and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The ADF of a copier including a document feeder part 200 (ADF) for automatically transporting a document from a document tray 201 to a document discharge tray 206 includes a space part (storage space) under the document discharge tray 206. The space part is constituted of a recessed part, and a lid member 207 doubling as the document discharge tray 206 for the recessed part.
