<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflective display that leaves a layer having a thickness smaller than 1,000 Angstroms on an optical element, and is manufactured using the method of flattening the surface of a substrate where an optical element is deposited on the surface. <P>SOLUTION: The reflective display includes a reflective display backplane, a plurality of pixel mirrors that are formed on the reflective display backplane and define gaps between the plurality of pixel mirrors, and planar layers that are formed in the gaps and on the pixel mirrors and function as oxide layers and layers to be etched on the plurality of pixel mirrors and the gaps defined between the plurality of pixel mirrors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
