IMAGE READER AND METHOD OF READING IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely perform complicated setting for sharing images of documents among a plurality of users without operating panels.

SOLUTION: The image reader is equipped with: an image reading section for reading the document to be read and the image of a card describing a code placed next to the document; a code detection section for detecting the code from the image; a decoding section for extracting instruction information required for changing the document to image data by decoding the code; an image data generation section for generating the image data of the document according to image control information included in the instruction information; an image data encoding section for encrypting the image data by information for encryption included in the instruction information; and an output section for outputting the encrypted image data according to information on a transmission destination included in the indication information.
