<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resolver capable of reducing the number of parts and coping with an increase in the number of teeth, an increase in the number of stator coils, or the like, without increasing size. <P>SOLUTION: The resolver includes a first slot insulator 60 and a second slot insulator 70. The first slot insulator has an annular part 61 with protrusions 62 so formed on its stator core-side side face to correspond to multiple teeth 51 and is placed on the anti-motor-side side face of a stator core 50. The second slot insulator has an annular part 71 with protrusions 72 so formed on its stator core-side side face to correspond to the teeth 51, is placed on the motor-side side face of the stator core 50, and clamps the stator core 50 from both sides together with the first slot insulator 60.
