PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for determining foam density in a beverage container by utilizing a Tyndall effect. SOLUTION: Condensed optical flux is radiated into foam from a light source. The optical flux is refracted in the foam, and a light ray that has been diffused becomes visible on the surface of the foam. By measuring a contour of a spot of such light, the density of the foam can be determined. For the purpose of this, one or more laser can be built into an existing packing level measuring means which is coupled with an existing measuring means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
