PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose deterioration of foundation concrete without exposing the whole floor plate part of the foundation concrete of a steel tower for power transmission. SOLUTION: In this deterioration diagnostic method for the foundation concrete of steel tower for power transmission, a hole 130 for exposing a part of the floor plate part 12 of the foundation concrete 10 of the steel tower for power transmission is first excavated by using a hydraulic auger 120 attached to the back hoe 102, next a cylindrical casing 150 is buried into the hole, and then sampling of the floor plate part is performed by using a core drill 30 provided with a long core drill bit 32.
