PURPOSE: A power conversion device for a railroad car is provided to easily transfer a power conversion unit in a maintenance process by installing a self frame in lower part of the power conversion unit. CONSTITUTION: A power conversion device is comprised of a IGBT, a filter condenser(2), a cooling block, cooling pin(5), a gate control circuit(7), and power conversion circuit. The power conversion unit is fixed inside a housing(20). The IGBT inside the housing is installed inside the cooling block of a semiconductor cooling unit having a cooling block and a cooling pin. Heat loss from IGBT is discharged outside of the power conversion device. The gate signal of the IGBT is transmitted to each IGBT through a gate wire from a gate control circuit. |
