<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery capable of securing electrical conductivity between a power generation body and a lid body without having welding failure. <P>SOLUTION: A lithium ion secondary battery 20 includes a battery container 7. An electrode wound body 6 to which positive and negative electrode plates are wound through a separator is stored in the battery container 7 together with nonaqueous electrolytic liquid. A positive electrode tab 2 is joined to a positive electrode current collecting ring 4 arranged on an upper side of the electrode wound body 6. A battery lid 18 as a positive electrode external terminal is fixed in caulking to the battery container 7. The battery lid 18 has a diaphragm 12 having a cleavage valve 12a. A connection component 14 is joined to the diaphragm 12, and a laminated lead 9 wherein a plurality of thin plates are laminated are joined to the connection component 14. In the laminated lead 9, the total thickness t of the thin plates is equal to or less than a thickness T of the connection component 14.
