PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly select metadata that coincides with content.

SOLUTION: A section length correspondence-acquiring part c101 reads section length correspondence information obtained by associating information of a query section showing the section or area of content with stored section length information showing the size of the section or area of stored content of a signal similar to a signal included in the query section from a section length correspondence-storing part that stores them beforehand. A retrieval instruction-acquiring part c102 acquires information of a retrieval section showing the section or area of the content. A metadata retrieving part c103 extracts metadata of the section or area of the stored content of the signal similar to the signal included in the retrieval section. A retrieval result-outputting part c104 outputs the metadata extracted by the metadata retrieving part c103 based on the stored section length information of the section length correspondence information that is the stored section length information corresponding to the query section included in the retrieval section.
