PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve interest by making a player enjoy variations in the detail of a performance in a pattern variation game. SOLUTION: In the pattern variation game, the game machine carries out a block variation performance constructing the detail of discrete performances for which performance time from the start of the performance to the end of the performance is fixed on the basis of a performance block made up of single time. When carrying out the block variation performance, the game machine sequentially shifts to other discrete performances as a combination of the discrete performances. When shifting to the other discrete performances, the game machine decides on the detail of a performance which is shifted to the discrete performances for which the degrees of expectation of a jackpot which are equal to or higher than the degrees of expectation of a jackpot which are set for discrete performances before shifting are set. During the pattern variation game, the game machine carries out the block variation performance by sequentially carrying out the discrete performances in accordance with the decided detail of the performance.
