PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of acquiring images that respectively have superior SN ratios within the range of a comparatively wide imaging sensitivity. SOLUTION: The electronic camera includes an imaging element, having a plurality of pixels, and a control part for setting an imaging sensitivity upon imaging. The pixels respectively include a first light-receiving element for generating a first image signal, a second light-receiving element for generating a second image signal of a sensitivity higher than that of the first image signal under the same condition and an output circuit that can add the first image signal and the second image signal. The control part designates an output signal of a pixel from among the first image signal, the second image signal and an added image signal of the first image signal and the second image signal, according to an SN ratio in the range at the imaging sensitivity.
