PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have an improved mechanism for service level differentiation. SOLUTION: In a method for differentiating a plurality of traffic flows according to their priority, the flows share one physical network device which communicates with one or more other devices in a wireless network. The method includes the steps of: providing a plurality of virtual network devices which split the one physical network device into the plurality of virtual network devices; mapping the plurality of traffic flows onto the plurality of different virtual network devices, respectively; setting one of the virtual network devices which corresponds to a flow having a lower priority to a sleep mode or doze mode or power save mode to thereby reduce the impact which the traffic flow having lower priority has on the traffic flow having higher priority.
