In order to produce folding box-type cigarette packs comprising a box part (10), a lid (11), and a collar (12), the cuts, i.e. a (packaging) cut (13) and the collar (12), are fed to an insertion station (58) of a folding revolver (50) on separate webs, i.e. a cut web (59) and a collar web (61). The cut (13) and the collar (12) are joined together in a position corresponding to the pack, especially by transversally moving the collar. The cut (13) and the collar (12) are then jointly introduced into a pocket (52) of the folding revolver (50) so as to raise folding flaps of the cut (13) and the collar (12).
