PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and highly accurately correct a code length based on a logical length for each code.

SOLUTION: The information recording/reproducing device 1 records or reproduces data by irradiating an information recording medium 100 with a laser beam LB to form a code containing a mark and a space based on a recording signal. The information recording/reproducing device 1 includes: a measuring means 18 for measuring the code lengths of the mark and the space; a calculation means 18 for calculating correction values to correct the code lengths of the mark and the space based on differences between the code lengths of the mark and the space and the theoretical lengths of the mark and the space; a repeating means 18 for controlling the calculation means to repeatedly calculate correction values for the code lengths of the mark and the space reflecting the correction values; and an adjusting means 18 for adjusting a recording signal by using the code lengths of the mark and the space corrected based on the calculated correction values.
