<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery, the cathode active material improving life characteristics and cycle characteristics of the lithium secondary battery; a cathode containing the cathode active material; and the lithium secondary battery containing the cathode. <P>SOLUTION: The cathode active material for the lithium secondary battery contains the first cathode active material expressed in (chemical formula 1) Li<SB>a</SB>Ni<SB>b</SB>Co<SB>c</SB>M<SB>d</SB>O<SB>2</SB>, and the second cathode active material expressed in (chemical formula 2) Li<SB>e</SB>Ni<SB>f</SB>Co<SB>g</SB>Mn<SB>h</SB>O<SB>2</SB>. In the (chemical formula 1) and the (chemical formula 2), M is one selected from Al, B, Cr, Fe, Mg, Sr, and V, and, a, b, c, d, e, f, g and h satisfy 0.95≤a≤1.1, 0.5≤b≤0.9, 0<c≤0.3, 0≤d≤0.1, 0.95≤e≤1.1, 0.33≤f≤0.5, 0.15≤g≤0.33, 0.3≤h≤0.35, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
