<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chimeric G-protein, its expression construct, yeast cells for expressing such the construct and a method for preparing them and method for using them. <P>SOLUTION: This chimeric G<SB>α</SB>-protein having an yeast G<SB>α</SB>(Gpa1p) amino acid sequence modified by substituting at least 3 amino acid positions within the C-terminal 10 amino acids by alternative amino acids, a transformed yeast cell comprising the chimeric G<SB>α</SB>-protein and a method for screening a compound interacting with a receptor comprising the observation of the growth response of the cells or observation of the production of a reporter gene product by making a compound of interest in contact with the yeast cells are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
