<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device which can reduce the power consumption and speedily increasing the number of communication units which are ready for communication with external devices. <P>SOLUTION: The communication device 100 includes a plurality of communication units 101, 102, ..., so connected as to operate by consuming electric power and communicate with external devices. The communication device is configured to communicate with the external devices through the plurality of communication units. Each of the communication units is configured to alternate a communication state of communication with an external device and a standby state wherein the communication unit operates but does not communicate with the external device. Further, the communication device includes an obtaining part 110 and a control part 120. The obtaining part obtains an amount of information communicated between the communication units and external devices within an obtaining time.
