<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide appropriate filter effect by appropriately adjusting the intensity of digital filter processing, in a video reproducer. <P>SOLUTION: A television receiver 1 includes a DVD decoder 2, a digital filter 4, a block noise detection part 8 and an MPU 9. The DVD decoder 2 decompresses a compressed digital video signal contained in a digital television signal and detects the bit rate of the compressed digital video signal. The digital filter 4 performs digital filter processing on an decompressed digital video signal. The block noise detection part 8 detects the level of a block noise, appearing when a video based on the digital video signal, after the digital filter processing has been performed is displayed. The MPU 9 adjusts the intensity of the digital filter processing, according to the level of the block noise detected by the block noise detecting section 8, in addition to the bit rate detected by the DTV decoder 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
