PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such the problem that a mute period becomes excessively long in the conventional external audio input device. SOLUTION: The external audio input device includes: a data input part 11 for detecting the error of audio data to output an abnormality detection notification signal ERR; a data buffer 11 for storing audio data in order of outputting from the data input part 10 and outputting the audio data in a storage order; a control unit 13 for calculating the number of pieces of audio data till the error data including the error are output from the data buffer 11 on the basis of the abnormality detection signal ERR, and outputting a fade control signal FIO according to the calculation result; and a data output unit 12 for outputting the audio data output from the data buffer 11 and changing the output state of the audio data to be output on the basis of the fade control signal FIO. The control unit 13 sets the output state of the data output part 12 in a mute state at the point of time when the audio data immediately before the error data are output from the data output part 12 by the fade control signal FIO.
