PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability, and to simplify a mechanism, regarding a tilt mechanism suitable when used in a portable terminal device and a sliding device provided with the mechanism. SOLUTION: The tilt mechanism includes: a base 41; a rocking frame 42 rockingly attached to the base 41; an elevating/lowering member 43 elevated and lowered relative to the rocking frame 42 by being attached to the rocking frame 42 and rotated; and a cam mechanism 44 comprising a cam hole 50 formed at the table 47 of the base 41 and cam projections 65 and 66 formed at the elevating/lowering member 43. The elevating/lowering member 43 is energized from a vertically erected state by the cam mechanism 44 accompanied by the rotation of the elevating/lowering member 43, and the elevating/lowering member 43 performs a tilting operation together with the rocking of the rocking frame 42.
