PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray material for accelerating coloration of fruit and the like such as apple which poses a serious problem due to the progress of Global warming. SOLUTION: The spray material for accelerating coloration of fruit such as apple includes components having nitrification-inhibiting function as active ingredients and is sprayed to the soil in the vicinity of the fruit tree before the ripening period thereof. Sulfathiazole (2-sulfanilamide thiazole), dicyandiamide, thiourea, 1-amidino-2-thiourea (thio urea), 2-amino-4-chloro-6-methyl pyrimidine, 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, N-2, 5-dichloropheny succinamide acid, 4-amino-1, 2, 4-triazole hydrochloride, 3-mercapto-1, 2, 4-triazole, and the like are used as the components having nitrification-inhibiting function.
