The present invention relates to a power supply assembly for a motor vehicle. The present invention provides a power apparatus for a motor vehicle, which is installed in a cigar lighter socket of the motor vehicle to which a bimetal is fixed, to supply power to accessories of the motor vehicle, and comprises: a negative electrode terminal unit which has a negative electrode contact for contacting the inner surface of the cigar lighter socket to supply a cathode current; a positive electrode terminal unit which has a positive electrode contact for contacting the bimetal in the cigar lighter socket to supply anode current; a main body having an outer surface on which the negative electrode terminal unit is fixed, an inner surface on which the positive electrode terminal unit is slidably mounted, and a fuse connected to the positive electrode terminal unit; and an elastic member which is arranged on the inner surface of the main body in such a manner so as to cover the outer surface of the positive electrode terminal unit and restore the positive electrode terminal unit by means of the elastic force thereof. According to the present invention, the positive electrode terminal unit has a bimetal contact area which is maximized to receive anode current by means of the bimetal, and the positive electrode terminal unit is spaced apart from a bolt for fastening the bimetal, to thereby prevent the corrosion of the bolt and enable a smooth supply of current. |
