PURPOSE: A light source dimming method and a display device thereof are provided to reduce power consumption by controlling the transmittance of a display panel through a corrected gradation. CONSTITUTION: A display panel(100) comprises a plurality of pixels displaying an image. A panel driving part(200) drives the display panel. A light source module(300) comprises a first light emitting module(310), a second light emitting module(320), and a light guide plate(330). A light source driving part(550) comprises a dimming driving part(400) and a signal generator(500). The dimming driving part comprises a dimming level determination part(410), a period determination part(420), and a boosting determination part(430).
