The facade element (2) has beam elements (5) and post elements (3) spaced at a distance to each other and made of wood. The post elements are connected with the beam elements at end sections. The post elements at outer edges of the facade element are formed as split coupling posts (4, 4') and/or the beam elements at the outer edges are formed as split coupling beams (6, 6'). A filling element (7) is firmly connected with the beam and post elements forming a carrier structure by aluminum profiles and a thermal separation element. The filling element is made of metal and glass.
