<p>#CMT# #/CMT# Adhesive tape (I) comprises a textile backing and coated with an adhesive comprising at least one vinylaromatic block copolymer and at least a partly hydrogenated tackifier resin, on at least one side of the backing. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# (I) is useful for wrapping elongate product (in a helical line or an axial direction around the elongate product), which is a cable or cable harness (claimed) in an automotive sector. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# (I) exhibits more compatibility for the T2 temperature range on polyvinyl chloride cables in a 3000-hour test at 105[deg] C. #CMT#POLYMERS : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The vinylaromatic block copolymer is a styrene block copolymer, styrene-butadiene block copolymer, a styrene-isoprene block copolymer and/or their hydrogenation products. The hydrogenated tackifier resin is a hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin. The tackifier resins are partially or fully hydrogenated resins based on rosin or its derivatives, at least partly hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins, hydrocarbon resins based on hydrogenated dicyclopentadiene polymers, hydrocarbon resins based on hydrogenated 5-9 carbon resins, hydrocarbon resins based on hydrogenated 5 carbon resins and/or hydrogenated polyterpene resins based on polyterpenes. The adhesive further comprises at least one ageing inhibitor comprising mononuclear and/or polynuclear phenols which contain a benzyl thioether moiety positioned ortho and/or para to a phenolic hydroxy group. The ageing inhibitor comprises 4,6-bis(octylthiomethyl)-o-cresol or 4,6-bis(dodecylthiomethyl)-o-cresol. The adhesive is processed from a melt. The styrene block copolymer is hydrogenated. The partly hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin is obtained by partial or full hydrogenation of aromatic-containing hydrocarbon resins.</p> |
