The invention relates to a machine for machining the ends of crankshafts (5), including two machining heads (1, 2) configured to machine crankshaft ends and two machining stations (3, 4) configured to receive and secure at least one crankshaft (5) and located between the two machining heads (1, 2). The crankshafts (5) are mounted in parallel and oriented at 180°. In addition, the machining heads (1, 2) are designed to be positioned facing the ends of the crankshafts (5) in the machining stations (3, 4). The invention also relates to a method for machining crankshafts (5), in which the machining heads (1, 2) machine the flange ends (9) and shank ends (8) alternately of the crankshafts (5) secured at the machining stations (3, 4). As such, the machine machines crankshafts continuously without stopping between the machining of two successive crankshafts. |
