<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly attain the preparation of a plan which is necessary for the loss investigation of a building and necessary data acquisition. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method to be executed by a PDA includes a process for accepting the input of a floor wall in the predetermined story of a building as the object of investigation, and for displaying the floor wall at a display device as a plan according to the input, a process for accepting the input of the damage range of an outer wall on the plan, and for displaying the damage range of the outer wall on the plan so that it can be specified, and for storing the data of the damage length of the outer wall in a loss data storage part, a process for promoting the input of wall height and a window frame area within the damage range of the outer wall according to the input of the damage range of the outer wall on the plan when the building as the object of examination is a conventional axial assembly method, and for accepting the input of the wall height and the window frame area within the damage range of the outer wall, and for storing it in the loss data storage part and a process for calculating the damage area from the damage length and wall height of the outer wall and the window frame area.
