The present invention discloses a choke operating assembly for operating a choke valve (18) in an internal combustion engine (10). The choke operating assembly comprises of an air vane (22) including a tab and a choke linkage (30) including a first choke arm (34) and a second choke arm (38), whereby the second choke arm (38) includes a protrusion. The air vane (22), first choke arm (34), and second choke arm (38) are integrally formed as a unitary body.
