PURPOSE: A core winding apparatus and a method of winding a core are provided to form a stator tooth having a small profile by consecutively winding a wire around a plurality of teeth. CONSTITUTION: A core winding apparatus includes a wire(60), a coil member, a winding device(32), and a coil element(44). The coil member accommodates a part of the wire. The coil member is a coil needle. The core winding apparatus is connected to the coil member to be operable. The core winding apparatus winds the wire around at least one core tooth. The winding element is connected to the coil member and is operable.
