PURPOSE: A producing method of high-purity calcium carbonate is provided to mass-produce the calcium carbonate using slag generated from an iron manufacturing process, and sludge generated from a lime plasticizing process. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of high-purity calcium carbonate comprises the following steps: inserting powdered slag or sludge to water; inserting carbon dioxide gas to the water to form a calcium bicarbonate solution, while maintaining the pH less than 7; and adding caustic soda to the calcium bicarbonate solution for maintaining the pH over 8.
