PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup apparatus capable of simultaneously acquiring images having different image angles with high image quality. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with an optical system having distortion aberration characteristic of enlarging a center and compressing a periphery, an image sensor for converting an object image formed by the optical system into image data, a frame memory for storing the image data from the image sensor, a frame memory output control circuit for reading image data corresponding to a designated image angle from the frame memory, a first filter circuit for executing filtering processing for a region having distortion aberration characteristic smaller than a first threshold among the image data having the designated image angle, and a distortion aberration correcting circuit for correcting the distortion aberration of the output image data from the first filter circuit.
