PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide film capable of being reduced in dimensional change and stabilized in its dimensional change ratio over the whole width thereof after a process for laminating a metal to the polyimide film or a process for etching a metal layer to form wiring. SOLUTION: When a tear propagation resistance value (c) in a molecular orientation axis direction and a tear propagation resistance value (d) in the direction vertical to the molecular orientation axis direction are measured in the whole width of the continuously manufactured polyimide film, the values (c) and (d) satisfy a specific relationship.
