PURPOSE: A sensor device for detecting a contact or approach of plural objects and a display device equipped with the sensor device are provided to easily distinguish the detected spots overlapped one another in the display device. CONSTITUTION: An operation unit(114) divides plural contacts or nearing places generated at the same time, and produces the location coordinates. The operation unit includes an analysis unit. The analysis unit analyzes the structure of the space distribution of the signal strength obtained from the detection. The analysis unit determines the conditions for dividing the distribution of signal strength into plural regions.
