The device (5) has a microcontroller e.g. ATMEL ATTINY13A microcontroller, for controlling and exploiting measurements provided by a single axis or dual axis electronic accelerometer, where the device is supported against a face of a suspended object e.g. rectangular console (2) or integrated to a frame or a frame support. A bicolor position indicator (6) i.e. LED, is controlled by the microcontroller for indicating correct or incorrect positioning of the suspended object against a flat support e.g. wall (11).
