PURPOSE: A shock absorber equipped with a cooling function is provided to realize high heat-radiating performance in comparison to a smooth cylinder shape by increasing the air contact surface-area of an outer container in operation. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber equipped with a cooling function comprises a piston rod(1) and a heat radiating body(5). The piston rod is formed so that the shock absorber moves up and down. The heat radiating body covers a cylindrical shape of cylinder(2), which comprises the piston rod. An upper cover(4) covers the upper part of the piston rod to block foreign matters from becoming entered. The heat radiating body has a regular-interval fin shape to increase the surface area of the outer container of the cylinder. The heat radiating body is located under a spring seat(3), on which a chassis spring is mounted.
