The invention relates to a tracking unit for solar collectors, comprising at least two panels, each pivotable about a longitudinal axis. The axes are disposed on a pivoting carrier in a plane. The position of the axes within the individual panels is offset by a prescribed dimension ?x relative to the adjacent panels. The motion of the individual panels is performed by a lever mechanism, by means of which the panels are each pivoted by the same angle. Said arrangement significantly reduces mutual shadowing and increases efficiency by about 10%.
