<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device for use in a vehicle which determines whether a disk device is mounted on a vehicle or not, and which updates and stores diagnosis information only when the device is mounted on the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The disk device for use in a vehicle includes: a signal processing part performing playback processing of a disk by rotationally driving the disk loaded on a turntable provided in a casing; a system control part controlling operation of equipment in the casing and the signal processing part; an information generating part generating diagnosis information by detecting a state of the equipment in the casing; a nonvolatile memory storing diagnosis information; and a storage control part determining whether the disk device is mounted on the vehicle or not and controlling so that diagnosis information is updated and stored in the nonvolatile memory when the device is mounted on the vehicle, and storage-updating of diagnosis information is prohibited when the device is not mounted on the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
