<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system which can correctly project light on a projection area, set up in advance, and simplify the operation of setting up the projection area, when projecting a light on an object. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination system includes a projector 1 and a camera 2. An illumination controller 3 projects and makes image of a stripe pattern photographed periodically changing its brightness, in a first direction perpendicularly crossing a direction of the light projected from a projector to associate the image photographed and the projection image with each other by using a phase shift method in the first direction; projects and photograps the image of a stripe pattern periodically changing its brightness in a second direction of the first direction perpendicular; associates the taken image and the projection image with each other by using the phase shift method in the second direction; then obtains the conversion information set-up association between pixels of the photgraphed image and the projection image. When the projection area is set up to project the light only on the object 11, the photographed image is converted into projection image, based on the conversion information and sets up the projection area inside the converted projection image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
