<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily increase precision and speed in processing for generating output pixel values indicating output images having wide dynamic ranges by using a plurality of kinds of input pixel values having different sensitivity to illuminance, and further to freely change characteristics of the output images. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of look-up tables which are decided for each kind of input pixel value and correlate the output pixel value corresponding to the same illuminance as the illuminance indicated by the input pixel value with the input pixel value for storage, are referred when processing for converting the input pixel value to the output pixel value for each pixel is performed. In the conversion processing, an input pixel which effectively shows illuminance of a pixel with the highest sensitivity, is selected for each pixel, and a look-up table corresponding to the kind of the input pixel value is referred and the input pixel value is converted to the output pixel value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
