PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide device for a vehicle seat having a safety lock while having a simple structure. SOLUTION: The slide device for a vehicle seat 1 includes a lower rail assembled to vehicle floor side; an upper rail assembled to a vehicle seat side so as to be slidable on the lower rail; and a slide lock 30 for regulating a slide of the upper rail 20 with respect to the lower rail 10. The slide lock 30 includes a lock arm 92 assembled to the upper rail 20 side so as to be inserted into one of a plurality of locking holes 12a formed along the longitudinal direction of the lower rail 10. A roller 48 rotating accompanied by the slide motion of the upper rail 10 is also provided. When the upper rail 20 is slid in a state that the lock state of the slide lock 30 with the lock arm 92 inserted into the locking hole 12a is shifted into such an unlock state that the insertion is released, the slide lock 30 is returned to the lock state by the rotation of the roller 48 accompanied by the slide motion.
