PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make fraudulent conduct difficult and to reliably use a counter value latched based on the entry of a game ball in game control, in a game machine in which the value of a counter counting clock signals is a random number value used in determination of a jackpot or the like. SOLUTION: The game machine for executing an auxiliary game according to the passing of a game ball to a start area and imparting a privilege to a player when the auxiliary game ends in a special result includes: a counter means for performing a counting operation based on the clock signal of a prescribed cycle; a counter value-holding means for capturing and holding the value counted by the counter means based on the detected result of a start winning detection means; a counter value acquisition means for acquiring the value held by the counter value-holding means based on the detected result of the start winning detection means to control the auxiliary game; and an inhibition means for inhibiting the change of the held value until the value captured by the counter value-holding means is acquired by the counter value acquisition means.
