PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper discharge device by which stiffness imparted to paper discharged is easily adjusted to various conditions. SOLUTION: A collar 402 with a plurality of grooves 402a-402c is disposed in a drive roller 40a of a paper discharge roller 40. When no stiffness is imparted to the paper P, a ring body 403 is fit into the groove 402a closer to a drive roller body 401 which is the innermost in the collar 402. When stiffness is imparted to the paper P, the ring body 403 is fit into the groove 402b at the midportion of the collar 402 or the groove 402c on the outermost side in the collar 402. The ring body 403 existing in the groove 402b or the groove 402c allows the paper P to curve at an angleθ1 or an angleθ2 and subjected to stiffness imparting action to generate rigidity.
