PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a front underrun protector for securing the survival space between a frame and the ground when a passenger car goes under a truck. SOLUTION: In the mounting structure of the front underrun protector in which the front underrun protector 1 is mounted to the lower part of a front bumper through a pair of right and left mounting brackets 7 fixed to the frame 3 of the truck with bolts 11, an oblong hole 15 is provided on a rear side of the mounting brackets in a fore and aft direction of the frame, and a pin 17 inserted in the oblong hole is protruded and provided at the frame. When shock exceeding the reference upon head-on collision of the vehicle works on the front underrun protector, the bolts are cut to move the mounting bracket rearward by the dimension of the oblong hole, the mounting bracket of which the movement is regulated by a pin rotates around the pin as a center, the front side of the frame is moved upward on the reaction, and a stopper provided at the bracket abuts on the lower part of the frame moved upward, thus stopping the frame from dropping.
