PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head cleaning apparatus which ensures a desired display image by improving impact accuracy of ink through wiping of the nozzle of a droplet discharging head so that no ink remains and thereby preventing color mixing and uneven coloring of pixels, and to provide a droplet discharging device and a head cleaning method. SOLUTION: The head cleaning apparatus includes: a first wiping means 13A having a first wiping member which comes in contact with a region containing a discharging face where the opening end of a nozzle is exposed; a second wiping means 13B having a second wiping member which comes in contact with and wipes the region containing the discharging face; and a control means 8 which controls a relative movement of the droplet discharging head 9 and the first wiping means 13A and a relative movement of the droplet discharging head 9 and the second wiping means 13B. Assuming that the first direction is the wiping direction of the first wiping member relative to the droplet discharging head 9 and that the second direction is the wiping direction of the second wiping member relative to the droplet discharging head 9, the control means 8 makes an adjustment so that the first direction and the second direction are opposite to each other in a plane parallel to the discharging surface.
