PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing pulverization of a mold powder for continuous casting, capable of performing both prevention of pulverization and stable feeding of a granular powder and executing stable casting. SOLUTION: The method for preventing pulverization of a mold powder for continuous casting is used in carrying a granular powder to be used for continuous casting from a storage hopper 11 for storing the granular powder to a relay hopper 15 via a carrying screw conveyer 18, and feeding the powder by predetermined amount from the relay hopper 15 into the mold via a cutting screw conveyer 16, an injection hopper 20 and an injection chute 21. In the method, the carrying distance of the cutting screw conveyer 16 is made shorter than the carrying distance of the carrying screw conveyer 18 to operate the carrying screw conveyer 18 at a high speed in a short period of time, thereby preventing the pulverization of the granular powder to be fed from the storing hopper 11 into the mold.
