The device has an adjustable piston formed as a part of a pin pusher and a pin puller of a force element or a separation screw and releasing a form-fitting mechanical connection in the device when the piston is activated. The piston is driven by exhaust gas, and a housing (1) of the pin puller or pin pusher provided with an external thread. A wall of a container is unlocked with the pin puller, the pin pusher or the separation screw. The pin pusher and the pin puller are not moved/rotated with a door of a vehicle.
