The asymmetrical chain drive has two pedal chains which are guided over a convex deflecting unit, where the deflecting unit is slid over the entire lifting area of the trotter. The power transmission chain extends front side (10) and back over a pair of axle stub (3) with freely rotatable sprockets. The transmission chain is connected form-fit to the axle stub through a pair of peripheral chain wheel (4). The synchronization shaft (5), axle stub and chain wheel are carried by a frame (2a,2b,8).
