<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method and a production apparatus for a laver to prevent the breakage of the laver caused by stress in processing in the case of developing a palatability improving effect of the laver. <P>SOLUTION: Raw laver is washed, formed in a plate form by a papermaking method to form a laver plate, heated and dried with a drying means, perforated with a perforating means and roasted with a roasting means to obtain a roast laver. In the above process, the perforating means is performed one-dimensionally in multiple steps with two or more stages to perforate the laver plate.
